“Long, Long, Long” is a George Harrison song. It still means a lot to me. The whole White Album does, but that song in particular. The friend depicted here, I should point out, was a good and kind boy and usually satisfactory in his responses to my unmedicated teenage moodiness, and he did have an adorable blond beard at fifteen. He went to Harvard and is a pediatrician now.
